Baptisms

We love that many of our church family want to affirm their faith in Jesus publicly and be baptised! On July 11th at the 10.45 service we will be having baptisms, and afterwards we will be celebrating with a (bring your own) picnic in the park (in groups of 30)! The service on the 11th July will be a booked service to manage numbers, and you can book your free ticket here.

Alpha

We are so grateful for all who have signed up to cook and provide dinner for those on Alpha, but still have a few weeks which we’d love help for! If you might be able to provide a meal for around 12-15 people, please get in touch with Lorna. The food is able to be expensed to the church, so if you are cooking, keep the receipts!

Ordinations

Over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of July at Winchester Cathedral, Peter will be ordained a priest and Mac and Lauren will be ordained deacons! As the Cathedral is restricted on numbers, after the 10.45 service on the July 4th, we’ll be showing Mac and Lauren’s ordination through their live stream for those who would like to see it. Join us in praying for Peter, Mac and Lauren as they prepare for this incredible occasion.

Service of Thanksgiving and Lament

During the past year, all of us have lost something dear to us, whether freedom, jobs, loved ones or circumstances. At 4pm on Sunday 18th July we are holding a service to grieve what has been lost, and thank God for the lives of those who are not with us anymore. There will be a short liturgical service to begin, and the church building will be open until 6pm with stations for prayer and reflection. This service will not be live streamed.

Live Streaming

Although COVID-19 regulations are beginning to ease, currently we plan to continue the live streaming of our 10.45 service for those who physically cannot make it to church or are nervous about attending due to the virus. Our Sunday sermons are also available on Soundcloud and can be found here.

Save the Date

We’ve got some fun socials we’d love to do as a church community together over the summer! One we’d love you to save the date for is Sunday 25th July at 3pm where we’re hosting a build & launch your own rocket competition. It will take place in the New Forest – bring your own picnic tea, and compete for prizes in teams! Please note that this of course depends on COVID-19 restrictions, which we are watching closely, meaning that this is subject to change and/or cancellation.
