Ash Wednesday Service

To mark the start of Lent tomorrow, join us for our Ash Wednesday service at 9am in the worship space. We’ll be celebrating communion together, along with the imposition of ashes.

Worship Evening

Our next evening of worship will be Sunday 13th March at 6pm. We’re doing things a little differently this time, but will still have worship and prayer at the centre. Come expectant to meet with God.

Baked Potato Sunday

On Sunday 20th March we’ve got baked potato Sunday (& if you’re beady eye-d you may notice the slight date change from our previous email)! You’ll need to bring a potato to church, and a topping of choice – grated cheese, tuna mayo, egg mayo, tins of beans are all good choices! We’re inviting everyone to stay for lunch, and will put the potatoes in the oven at the start of the 10.45, and eat them afterwards as we get to know one another over food.

Easter 2022

We call the week before Easter ‘Holy Week’ (10th-16th April) as it’s a time we prepare ourselves for Easter and centre ourselves on the cross and what it means for us. Each day we’ve got things to help us do this, which will range from morning prayer, evening worship, prayer stations and a Maundy Thursday meal. More details to follow soon!

We’re Hiring

We announced a few Sundays ago that very sadly we’ll be saying goodbye to our parish administrator, Isobel, who has worked tirelessly and faithfully for 11 years. It does mean that we have job vacancies for a parish administrator, as well as a new role for an operations co-ordinator. If you or someone you know might be interested, find out more here

Easter Eggs

The ‘Real Easter Egg’ is the only egg available that is both Fair Trade and has the Easter story in every box. As well as the fair-trade premium, the firm has raised over £320,000 for good causes since 2010. As no supermarket has opted to stock these eggs this year, you’ll need to send away for them, which you can do through Ascension. Find out more about how to order them here, or contact Helen Pain on a Sunday.

Easter lilies

If you’d like to remember a loved one this Easter by purchasing an Easter lily to be displayed in church, please contact Jane Tudor on 02380 333786 or the church office. Each lily costs £3.00, and payment and the name of your loved one needs to be submitted by 22 March please.
