On 3 December, Helen Pain will be hosting an online reflective service focussing on praying against Gender Based Violence. This is a part of a wider 16 days of awareness and activism against GBV supported by the Mothers Union

This service will take place on Thursday 3 December at 7:30 via Zoom

Gender Based Violence affects around 1 in 3 women worldwide at some point in their lives. The Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdowns imposed have led to an upsurge in cases, as many perpetrators are intimate partners of the victims. Although it is true that both men and women can be victims of GBV, women are most often the main victims according to statistics.

This service will be a time to reflect on and pray against this injustice that is so prevalent in our world. It is a time to pray for those who have suffered abuse, and those who have committed it, believing that Jesus can bring healing, restoration and rehabilitation to all
