Before we look ahead at what’s to come, we would love to say thank you to all of you who served and worshiped with us over Easter, we hope you were able to encounter God anew over this most hope-filled of weeks.
Welcome Meal
If you have recently started coming to Ascension, we’d love to invite you to stay after the 10:45 service on Sunday 26th April for our Welcome Lunch. This will be an opportunity to meet others at Ascension and find out more about what goes on in our church.
There is no cost for the meal, but please do sign up using this link so that we know how many to cater for.
APCM and Electoral Roll
On Sunday May 17th at 12:30pm we have our APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting) which is an opportunity to celebrate what God has been doing here at Ascension over the past year as well as electing church officers, reviewing finances, and approving reports on church activities. The meeting is open to all, but you need to be on the Electoral Roll in order to vote. If you are not on the electoral roll, you can sign up here, or contact the office for a paper application form.
Quiz & Chips Fundraiser – ASCY takeover
Our amazing Youth Group are hosting a Quiz & Chips Fundraising Night to support one of our youth as they raise money for Aggie’s on Tuesday May 19th at 7pm. Come along and invite your friends. Teams will be made on the night and if it’s anything like the last Quiz Night it’s going to be lots of fun. Tickets are just £10 and include a fish and chip supper. Please signup via the website or contact the Parish Office. We will also be holding a Raffle on the night itself, so if you have anything you can donate as a prize for this, that would be wonderful. Finally, as we are trying to raise as much money as we can, if you could help us keep our costs down by providing a cake for pudding, that would also be wonderful! – let Lizi know – lizi@ascensionsouthampton.co.uk
EDGE Fashion Fundraiser
We would love to invite you the EDGE Hub (121 – 123 Meggeson Avenue, Townhill Park) on Friday 29th May from 6pm – 9pm for a fundraising fashion event! Expect lots of fabulous fashion including a range of Prom outfits at great prices – do come along and support this event as we fundraise for our summer activities in Townhill Park. YouthFest
YouthFest is a weekend of fun, games, food, and incredible teaching and worship taking place from 19-21st June. Young people from churches across the city are invited and you can sign up here. Bookings close on the 2nd May so do get your tickets now if you would like to join. We couldn’t run these events safely without a team of helpers! If you could spare some time over that week/weekend to help with stewarding/catering/setting up/praying please do get in touch with luke@ascensionsouthampton.co.uk
Market Place Volunteers
The Market Place Team are still in need of some more volunteers to help out on a Thursday morning and/or to join the cake rota. Please contact the office if you are interested or would like more details.
